HAPPY 2012! It was fantastic to see so many of you at our first meeting in a new year. I'm excited we started off our new year with encouragement to exercise. Personally, I need to take heed. Our club continues to make a difference in my life. Solely due to membership participation, Newcomers just keeps getting better and better. Hope y'all agree!

This month, Sandy Maners is chairing a committee to nominate a new board for 2012-2013. Others serving on the Nominating Committee are Paula Hickey, Connie Marhevsky, Mary Jo Barbaretta and Rita Bolick. Our leadership changes on June 1st, 2012...time is flying by and opportunities mount daily. I hope you might consider being more active in Newcomers this year. Volunteer to serve on the Board. Volunteer for a committee. Join or start a satellite group. Volunteer as a door greeter for a monthly meeting and get to know more members personally. Stay in touch by becoming more involved in our events. Check our website regularly. Your ideas and involvement will keep our club fresh, innovative and enriching. We need YOU! 2012 is bittersweet for me as I will graduate from Newcomers in August. My four years have flown by! Yours will, too.
